Rich went above and beyond assisting with maintenance to my boiler. He was on vacation and took my call because my boiler wasn’t working in winter temps. He walked me through all the steps of getting my boiler working until he was back to service it. I would have been without heat that day without him! Rich Mathews helped us convert our house from oil to gas heat, and we had a wonderful experience with him. Rich Mathews & Son installed both our heating system and our water heater in 2011. The service was great, the work was done efficiently, the cost was fair, and Rich provided clear instructions for the very simple maintenance that the systems require. We have had no trouble with either system since installation and Rich has consistently been responsive to our occasional inquiries over the years.

He had previously installed a water heater at our house and did a great job at a fair price so we didn't hesitate to call him again. He just completed the installation of our new gas heating system and everything went smooth from start to finish. After being told my hot water heater was in "imminent failure" I reached out to Rich, and he was able to help me within a day. I shared photos of my heater and Rich provided a quote over the phone. Upon installation, it became clear it would not be a cut and dry replacement - Rich meticulously checked pipes, exit points, etc. to ensure that my building and I were safe, and fixed unexpected issues that came up. All while sticking with his original quote. Rich was amazing - super friendly, professional and obviously cares about his work and clients.
