He does great work and is a true professional with a great attitude. Great service - would give more than 5 stars if I could! Rich and Lori took a bad situation (failed combination hot water heater) and helped ease the pain, going above and beyond to provide a solution designed to last and explain the quirks of our new-to-us house / the plusses and minuses of our chosen approach to the system replacement. Prices were fair and very competitive with other plumbers in the neighborhood. They went out of their way to make sure the new system got in fast before the winter cold set in, and were all-around great to deal with - responsive on the phone, transparent about equipment delivery and project updates, and just super kind to us and our nosy dog. Highly recommend!

I've had a few less than satisfactory companies give estimates for my HVAC replacement and they all were say okay. The fact that Mr. Mathews came explained to me and the wife what was involved in the process and answered all our questions and concerns about the installation process put us at ease. As a home owner I've had the pleasure of the high pressure sales tactics by salesman who say anything to make the sale.no Rich! The Quality of the installation exceeded any work I've seen done, no rush no fuss no muss. And to boot an all around professional who's work speaks for itself. I Highly recommend this company for the quality of work and the knowledges and expertise he brings to the job. Also impressed by his character Honest as the day is long. You can use another company but I doubt that you will get the Quality and satisfaction that Rich brings to any work site. We had to replace our gas hot air furnace recently and placed a call to Rich Mathews & Son to give us a quote to do the work. He had previously installed a water heater at our house and did a great job at a fair price so we didn't hesitate to call him again. He just completed the installation of our new gas heating system and everything went smooth from start to finish. He explained to us exactly what needed to be done and he made sure that the project is completed as promised at a price that was again unbeatable.
